Melt Chocolate Buttons

Ingredients:

Steps:

Slow Cooker: If you need to melt 500g or more, a slow cooker is easy to use. Turn it on to the lowest setting and pour in the buttons. Stir occasionally until they are fully melted. Your chocolate will stay melted for as long as you need it.

Double Boiler: Place 2 cms of water in the bottom of a saucepan and place a bowl with a tight fit on top. Place buttons in the top bowl and heat the water on a low setting. Stir the chocolate until it starts to melt, then remove the saucepan and bowl from the heat and continue to stir until all buttons are melted. Be careful to not let steam or water mix with the chocolate.

Microwave: This is a great method for small batches of chocolate. Place buttons in a suitable bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals on a defrost setting. Stir between each go until buttons just begin to melt. Remove, and keep stirring until fully melted– this will prevent your chocolate from burning or drying out.
