Get ready to spook your sweet tooth with this hauntingly delightful Halloween cake!
Drenched in a wickedly rich dark chocolate drip and frosted in vibrant pumpkin-orange buttercream, this cake is the perfect centerpiece for any Halloween celebration.
Topped with adorable meringue ghosts and finished with our Halloween inspired Sprinkle blend of festive green and purple sprinkles, it’s a deliciously eerie treat that’s as fun to look at as it is to eat. Whether you're hosting a costume party or just getting into the spooky spirit, this cake is sure to impress both ghouls and goblins alike!
It is a show stopping cake, with various components, so make sure you plan ahead and don't leave making this one to the day of the event. We suggest you allow 1 full day, or make over 2 days.
We have baked as a 3 Tier x 5 " Round Cake. You could also produce as a 2 Tier x 6" Cake, or 1 Tier x 7" Cake using the same ingredients we have listed.
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
- 500g Roberts Vanilla Cake Mix
- 3 Large Eggs
- 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
- 2/3 Cup Water
- 3 x 5" Round Cake Tins lined with baking paper
For the Meringue Ghosts:
- 200g Roberts Baked Meringue Mix
- 1/2 Cup Water
- Electric Mixer with Whisk Attachment.
For the Cake Icing:
- 350g White Icing Sugar (or you can use our Silky Meringue Buttercream Mix)
- 1g Orange Powder Dye (or you can use colourant you already have available)
- 200g Unsalted Butter, softened.
- 1 Tbsp Milk (or water)
- Halloween Sprinkle Mix
- Electric Mixer with Paddle Attachment.
